Maribel Castillo joined us in August of 2015 as a paralegal. Prior to receiving her paralegal certificate in 2014, she achieved extensive business experience in administrative positions with financial services and legal organizations. At Newfield, Biondo & Carlino, LLC, Maribel is involved in all aspects of litigation support, including legal research, factual investigation; medical record review and case file maintenance. She drafts and reviews legal documents, and assists with discovery, depositions, pleadings, motions, notices and correspondence. She manages trial exhibits, communicates with experts for the defense and performs other actions required throughout the trial preparation process. She also assists in court during trial.

Maribel is bilingual in Spanish and English. She earned a certificate in public accounting from the University of Guatemala in 1984, received her paralegal certification through the ABA approved program Norwalk (Conn.) Community College, and is continuing her studies at Norwalk Community College in its Criminal Justice Associates Degree Program. She is a Connecticut Notary Public.
